In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Visiting Swim with Dolphins and Banzai Pipeline will get you outdoors. Popular historic sites such as USS Arizona Memorial and Makapuu Lighthouse Trail are in your itinerary. Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.

A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Crane Point Museum & Nature Center and San Pablo Catholic Church are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at The Turtle Hospital and Marathon Garden Club. Go for a jaunt from Marathon to Islamorada to see Fishing Charters & Tours about 40 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: identify plant and animal life at Dolphin Research Center, kick back and relax at Bahia Honda State Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Sombrero Beach, and head outdoors with Gemini Dream Charters.

Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
Step off the beaten path and head to Laura: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site and Lafayette Cemetery No.1. Visit Garden District and St. Louis Cathedral for their historical value. Step out of New Orleans to go to Vacherie and see Oak Alley Plantation, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's lots more to do: learn about all things military at The National WWII Museum, take a stroll through Royal Street, see the interesting displays at Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World, and contemplate the long history of Rene Beauregard House.

Do a combination of shuttle and flight from Marathon to New Orleans in 7.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Marathon to New Orleans, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Marathon in February, you will find days in New Orleans are much colder (56°F), and nights are slightly colder (56°F). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
