In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Get in touch with nature at Makapuu Lighthouse Trail and Shark Diving. Your inner history buff will appreciate USS Arizona Memorial and Byodo-In Temple. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Banzai Pipeline (in Pupukea), Opana Radar Site (in Kawela Bay) and Swim with Dolphins (in Waianae). There's still lots to do: trek along Koko Crater Railway Trail, see the interesting displays at USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, steep yourself in history at Battleship Missouri Memorial, and explore the different monuments and memorials at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

Traveling by flight from Lahaina to Honolulu takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry, taxi, and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. In February, plan for daily highs up to 81°F, and evening lows to 69°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 10th (Sun) to allow time for travel to Key West.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters Museum. Key West Cemetery and Audubon House & Tropical Gardens will appeal to history buffs. Spend the 12th (Tue) exploring nature at Dry Tortugas National Park. There's still lots to do: take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, steep yourself in history at Truman Little White House, take a memorable drive along The Overseas Highway, and take a memorable tour with Tours.
