Formerly a sleepy fishing village, the beach resort town of Kuta now represents one of Indonesia's most popular tourist destinations.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Kuta Beach - Bali and Pantai Sanur. Visiting Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and Nusa Dua Beach will get you outdoors. Explore Kuta's surroundings by going to Tegalalang (Tegalalang Rice Terrace & Mason Elephant Park), Saraswati Temple (in Ubud) and Karang Beach (in Sanur). Spend the 10th (Sun) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. The island of Nusa Lembongan sits amidst swathes of calm, clear waters as well as some of the most notable surfing waves in the region.
