The Oosterpark in Amsterdam is the first large park laid out by the municipality of Amsterdam. The park is located in the Oost/Watergraafsmeer borough and forms a component of the Oosterpark area. The park, an English garden, was designed by Dutch landscape architect Leonard Anthony Springer and was laid out in 1891.

  • I loved walking around this green inner city park in Amsterdam. It has a relaxed vibe with water and flourishing gardens. When the sun comes out people flock to this park to catch the rays and even do some swing dancing. A real bonus is the fact that's on the doorstep of the Arena Hotel so the easy access makes exercise simple.
  • Urban parks are awesome! Beautiful and big. Nice for picknicks and stuff. Children can take a bath here in summer. Nice buildings surrounding.
