One of Barcelona’s iconic landmarks and a favorite perch of pigeons, the 60 m (197 ft) Mirador de Colom points proudly across the sea. Built in 1888 to commemorate Columbus reporting his first journey to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, the monument features a bronze statue standing atop a Corinthian column. Although many like to think that Columbus is pointing toward the New World that he was credited with discovering, the statue is, in fact, aiming his finger toward Algeria. Mirador de Colom Reviews
You can visit the top of the monument if you want, the views are quite good. The area in general is quite good, a good photo stop, on your way to the port. This is located at the port-end of La Rambla... more »

A bit expensive for the minimal we got in the experience. You took a lift up the monument that took about 30-45 seconds. Then you walked around about 15 m and looked in different directions. Quite quickly the next lift came with visitors and then it became cramped and we had to go down again after 15 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also bought the wine package and we got two glasses of wine for 2x2 euros.
Loved the place. So spacious. Nicely planned. Good view all around. Very planned systematic placement of centre stage and pillar. One will enjoy and love this place.
What a lovely place to visit especially in the evening and night. I really enjoyed the place. It was a fun to hangout with friends and family. Lot of gathering on this spot. It's a wonderful place that everyone wish to visit again.
