Trip Planner: Europe / Spain / Catalonia / Province of Barcelona / Barcelona / Jardin Botanico de Barcelona
Brimming with plant life and set atop Barcelona’s Montjuic Hill, Jardin Botanico de Barcelona affords visitors a chance to explore both the outdoors and a variety of warm-weather flora. The gardens, founded in 1999, house a collection of plants from Mediterranean climates around the world. Explore the gardens by either following a demarcated route or setting off on your own. Admire the vast array of species, arranged by region, as you make your way up and down the hill. Be sure to bring your camera as the view from the garden’s highest point offers views over the city and the surrounding stadiums from the 1992 Olympic Games. Learn even more about the resident plants and the facility itself through a guided tour or rentable audio guide. Comfortable footwear is recommended as the park is large and the incline of some trails is moderately steep. Our Barcelona journey tool makes visiting Jardin Botanico de Barcelona and other Barcelona attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Jardin Botanico de Barcelona Reviews
El lugar está totalmente descuidado, lleno de pastos por todos lados. No ofrece ninguna cosa atractiva. Hay una mezcla de plantas de distintos lugares sin mucho criterio. We were very charmed by the historical, which consists of two parts: on entering direct links to the part with the Masia (Farm, from 1929 World Expo) and the Bougainville wall, or to the right and descending to the water-rich part of the former Quarry. The latter is a cool oasis in the warm city and romantic. Very suitable for a small picnic. On Sundays after 15 hours of free admission. Unclear signage, few kind-indications, many paths closed with ribbons. Output only through the entrance. No catering.
A garden takes time, and while this one might need a little more time to fill it, we look forward to come back to Barcelona in many years to see how it’s evolved. It was a nice stroll on a beautiful day with great views of the city and lots of cool birds. I get the feeling they could use more financial support so we we were happy that we were able to pay admission. Barcelona city should find this place more because it could be a huge tourist attraction.
A nice place to visit indeed. It's not typical greenhouse botanical garden. Everything they have is outside exposition with thematic zone: Mediterranean like climates around the world (Chile, South Africa, Australia, California, Canary islands and North Africa). You need at least 2-2,5 h for whole garden. Take water , in summer can be very hot over there.
