The Sarphatipark is a public urban park located in the stadsdeel Amsterdam Oud-Zuid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The park is named after Samuel Sarphati. In 1942, the park was renamed "Bollandpark" after G.J.P.J. Bolland, because Samuel Sarphati was a Jew. The old name was restored after the war in 1945.The Dutch painter Mommie Schwarz and his wife Else Berg lived adjacent to the park from 1927 until their deportation to, and execution at, the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1942. Some of their last works were landscape paintings of the park.

  • A beautiful urban park accessible in the city center. Greenery, water and animals. Ideal to settle down a bit.

  • A beautiful little park in a lovely part of Amsterdam. It's quite small (expect to walk its perimeter in under 10 minutes) and the only park in the area (so expect it to be busy on sunny afternoons). A picturesque river divides the park and a viewing deck overlooking a small dam and grassy banks makes an ideal place for pictures. A small basketball court, football pen, outdoor gym equipment and ping pong tables make this a great spot for active people and families. For those who like a more relaxed afternoon, the green grass and leafy trees make the perfect picnic spot.
  • Nice park, there is a portion of it where dogs are welcome. The Name giver was instrumental in improving the city's quality of life through sanitary means and improved good bread.
