The Moses and Aaron Church, in the Waterlooplein neighborhood of Amsterdam, is officially the Roman Catholic Church of St. Anthony of Padua . Originally a clandestine church, it was operated by Franciscan priests at a house on Jodenbreestraat, where the wall tablets of Moses and Aaron hung on the wall. In 1970, the present church was designated as a Cultural Heritage Monument of the Netherlands.

  • This church, built in the mid-19 century in neoclassical style I saw before visiting a traditional flea market next door Church was opened by the Franciscans in honor of Moses and Abraham, the rich history of confrontation with the Catholics, starting with 17 century, when the first opened here in the Jewish House of worship is surrounded by it was the only Catholic Church. Beautiful Baroque altar of the 18 century, the organ played himself Saint Saens, designer of the Church resembles a French or Italian church. liked the fact that Franz Liszt performed here in the year 1866, as hanging a plaque.
