The Moses and Aaron Church, in the Waterlooplein neighborhood of Amsterdam, is officially the Roman Catholic Church of St. Anthony of Padua . Originally a clandestine church, it was operated by Franciscan priests at a house on Jodenbreestraat, where the wall tablets of Moses and Aaron hung on the wall. In 1970, the present church was designated as a Cultural Heritage Monument of the Netherlands.

  • We walked past this church several times as it was on the way to and from the hotel. It's located on a busy junction. The building looks ok form the front, but rather unimpressive from every other sid...  more »
  • The facade was the Greek style of Ionian pillars and triangular pediments. And, one tower with the same design on both sides of the front. Overall it was a very well-balanced building.
