It was the 2nd time it was disappointing and for me so definitely the last time I go there food, really very bad and very unfortunate for such a wonderful theatre, certainly not royal

We reserved via the website at the "Grand Café". The performance was excellent on our reservation at 16:30 (which was early for dinner) but perhaps with a little drink in advance we could eat fine. Upon arrival at the Grand Café we were nicely received, our reservation was well met this time, and escorted to our table. Admittedly, the lady who helped us to suffer from her mouth corners seemed pretty tight and striking the wrong way. Within minutes we had a bottle of wine and a menu in our hands. Soon we had decided to go for the special Book of Mormon menu. As if we had to stand outside within fifteen minutes, a starter for our nose was allowed, I am in favour of a certain way of tempo and rhythm in serving dinner but this was very fast. This expresses a certain numbness for serving tempo. The small Grand Café was quickly filled with other dinner guests, who probably came to eat for the early evening (perhaps hence the speed of our starters). The timing of our main courses was already a bit more to our liking. And as if the time between the 3 dishes was exponentially longer per dish, it took forever before we had our desserts on the table. It seemed like our waitress with a tight look had forgotten to ask them. When we were waiting over a 20 minutes at the table she asked if everything was still as desired (when we had been at the table for some time without wine or water) as if our dinner was already over. After asking for a moment where our desserts stayed, the lady was checking this in the kitchen. Again 10 minutes later just ask here, and the answer was "sorry, it's coming now BUT it was very busy with the main courses".... Now I myself am not really the "yes but" and the excuses, just make sure you settle it, especially after half an hour shoot me this kinda in the wrong keelgat. Anyway, we were offered a cup of coffee to compensate (fine, if you have to give something away than just a little bit of purchasing a few cents, not really generous, but well it's going to be the gesture). The desserts came out another 10 minutes later and tasted delicious. But the long wait was very much the taste of the food was all top, great kitchen, very pity that the service does not complement this with a flawless and cozy services.
A gorgeous theatre to sit in, this used to be an indoor circus, there are pictures on the foyer walls of animals that used to perform there. Very helpful staff will help you find your seat with at least 2 cloak rooms available. Comfortable seats with great sightlines from all seats. Highly recommended.
We arrived on Xmas Day and couldn't find anywhere to eat before the circus. The reception staff were so helpful trying to find nearby places to eat. We really appreciated their help. We ended up taking a short metro ride to Central Station as there was more choice there. The circus was phenomenal. The horses and acrobats were world class. The Dutch audience is so appreciative, clapping in time to the music at every opportunity. A highly recommended circus!!!
