Body Worlds, Amsterdam

At Body Worlds, explore exhibits of real specimens of human bodies. Anatomically positioned in space, the presentations reveal the complexity, resilience, and vulnerability of the body. You will see translucent body slices, organs, and plastinates--remains that have been preserved and kept in positions that reflect daily activities, including playing the saxophone, riding a horse, and dancing. Since their first appearance in 1995, these controversial expositions have attracted 40 million visitors worldwide. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Amsterdam trip simple and quick.

  • Really enjoyed this museum. The explanations were really on point and well presented. People of all levels of knowledge can enjoy this museum as long as they are passionate about the human body. The floors are divided by subjects, so you can decide what's more interesting to you. It's a bit pricey but for me was definitely worth the visit.
  • Extremely detailed, lots to see and a good mix of science and social themes - the overarching theme being a study of happiness. Can be a bit weird thinking about the fact that it's real bodies that have been used for the exhibit but its super interesting. Price is fair. Would be great for school trips to learn a few things about biology and anatomy but overall just a good thing to see if you're in Amsterdam.
