Do a little bit of everything at Amsterdam Roest, an old steel factory that regularly hosts various events, many of which spill onto the street. Check the website for the latest happenings, which may be anything from food festivals to concerts. Even without something specific going on, the area merits a visit, with many restaurants and bars, plus a beach annex next to the canal. Children can enjoy the playground and sandpit while the adults relax on the benches. Put Amsterdam Roest at the forefront of your travel plans using our Amsterdam trip app .

You can drink with a group, on the beach, celebrate your birthday with your children during the day play, dancing in the Ruïnebar, art, all kinds of spontaneous creative markets, visit a snowball fight in the winter, you all warm up by the big fire pit outside with a mulled wine, in on large chesterfield couches with friends, have a nice lunch in the evening, a romantic dinner with your love and I can go on. Awesome place for some ice cold drinks on a warm summer day with your feet in the sand! This place can become really crowded (where not in the summer) so come early to make sure you have a nice spot in the sun! Also perfect for families with children.
Very cool place with a chilled environment but I went on a very busy night and couldn't experiment their amazing concept of silent disco. They basically give you headphones with 3 different "stations" to choose and everyone just jams on their own. Very cool to see all those people dancing with the LED lit headphones.
