Part of a critical habitat for Canada's grizzlies, Moraine Lake offers several hiking trails with inspiring views of the snow-capped Valley of the Ten Peaks. If the area around the glacier-fed lake looks familiar, that's probably because you've seen it on the back of the country's 20 dollar bill. In June the lake reaches its highest level and reflects a distinct blue shade, caused by deposits of fine-grained rock particles.     Very beautiful, but it's not the most beautiful one! This lake became too much popular in the last few years, so now it's impossible to access it without spending $25 with a shuttle! The rangers...  more »

    We went at the beginning of October, the week before Moraine Lake Road closed. We're so glad we went - was a beautiful hike along the lake & fantastic views.  more »

    Food was expensive but the sights were incredible!

    Beautiful teal coloured lake. There is a viewpoint with a bunch of great photo taking spots. The area is extremely busy during the day, only way if getting there is by taking the bus from the village below. Best times to go are early in the morning or sometime after 5.
